Before you get to playing, here's a (hopefully) quick rundown of the mechanics and quirks for this game:
♥ Since your setting is a character, if not a seemingly inactive one, be aware that the mod journal (

♥ You are free to switch back and forth between prose and action tags whenever you want. However, for the sake of consistency, you may just want to go with whatever the rest of the thread is currently doing.
♥ If you play more than one character, you can play them both in the same thread, or even in the same tag. No, seriously, we don't care.
♥ You can control another player's character (whether through empathic bonds or a merge) as long as you've got that other player's permission to do so.
♥ There is no tag order, anywhere. If you want two characters to go ahead and have a conversation while a third waits it out, that's fine. If you want your character to burst in with one quick thought and then leave again, that’s fine too. However, please communicate with your fellow players that they can go ahead without you so that no one feels they are shutting out others.
♥ Since this is an AU game following a particular (assumed) storyline, your character may be given a bit of extra info on what has happened between canon and now. We will provide that for you as needed, particularly before we start the game for real.
♥ There are six possible endings for this game, dependent the vast majority of the time on what your characters do or don’t do, and occasionally on dice rolls. While we won’t give descriptions of them, the endings are titled as follows:
- Death Ending
- Extended Bad Ending
- Bad Ending
- Bittersweet Ending
- Good Ending
- Perfect Ending
♥ Keep in mind that the Good/Perfect Endings may be impossible to get if certain characters are active or if other particular choices are made. We will let you know ahead of time if certain characters or choices will prevent a Good/Perfect Ending. Missing out on the Good or Perfect Endings will never be entirely dependent on dice rolls.
♥ If you’re really worried that certain ideas or choices will steer you away from a Good Ending, just ask the mod and you may get some hints. However, we’d strongly encourage you to just play things ICly and see what happens!
